is it ok for my dog to take a bath after vaccination?
i have a 4 month old female golden retriever and she just got a shot from the vet. is it ok if i will bathe her? coz my vet told me that dogs arent allowed to take a bath after a shot. is this true?
and if my dog has a fever, can she take a bath?
If your vet said not to then I would wait for a couple of days before giving her a bath. Sometimes dogs have a bit of bruising or sensitivity after a shot, and bathing could cause a bit of pain or discomfort. Also the water and shampoo could irritate the site.
If she has a fever she should probably go back to the vet. Bathing sometimes stresses dogs (not always - some really enjoy it) and could aggravate a fever.
