What do you do when you get bitten?
I recently went on a walk with my dog in the woods, I didn't really think that it was going to be a big deal so I went off the path a little bit. All of the sudden a fox comes out of nowhere and bites me several times on the forearm, I didnt know what to do so I left him there for a minute until he decided to let go. When he did the fox was twitching and shaking and growling at me, I didnt know if I was next to its pups (if it had any) or if it was scared to death of me. Or rabies.
I didnt see foam, but it was drooling alot...
If someone has any advice, please let me know...
I live at least 100 miles away from town in my uncles cabin so I cant really go to the hospital or anything, please give me some advice!
You need rabies shots. Anyone who has been bitten by an animal/mammal like a dog, cat, fox, raccoon, etc. should immediately get rabies shots for humans, especially if the animal cannot be caught and quarantined, or is not dead and you have no corpse to take to Animal Control for testing. This question sounds bogus, but just in case it's not you need an accurate answer. If this really happened, don't be stupid and avoid going for shots. Death from rabies is 99.9% guaranteed once you start having symptoms and it's a horrible way to die.
